A Day in the Life

We are currently seeking a Field Support Engineer III to assist with the setup and provide primary onsite support of a new site for a dedicated client. We are looking for someone with an IT consulting background or history of field support experience. This role requires high energy, a strong in-person presence and the ability to provide daily support to personnel of all levels both onsite and remote.

The Basics

  • Total Years of Technical Experience: 6+
  • Position Specific Experience: 6+
  • Mentorship/Leads by Example Experience: 4+
  • Project/ Client Engagement/ Customer Facing Experience: 6+

Techie Aptitude

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server & Active Directory technologies (DNS, FSMO, DHCP).
  • Advanced level of troubleshooting in Windows Server.
  • Intermediate level of troubleshooting in Exchange & O365 Platform Administration.
  • Intermediate level of troubleshooting MDM platforms.
  • Intermediate ability to troubleshoot in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Advanced understanding of virtualized technologies. Solid understanding of SAN technologies.
  • Advanced experience working in VMware, AWS, and Azure.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Firewall/Router/Switch/WAP (Configuration, maintenance & troubleshooting).
  • Detailed understanding of routing and switching in non-standard/ complex deployment environments.
  • Experience with multiple network technologies.
  • Proficient Firewall/security experience (access control list (ACL) management, secure remote management practices, IDS, etc.
  • Working knowledge in access technologies such as LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Candidate must have one of the following or be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment: MCSA, VCP, CCENT, ITIL, CCNA (R&S, Security, Collaboration Fortinet)
