POSITION SUMMARY:



Responsible for Production Planning functions at the SKU level related to Make to Stock/Make to Order products produced/imported/exported from or to the US. Manage the overall inventory and demand signals of all items within the respective product lines. Maintains the Epicore CMS ERP system, generates optimal production schedules to achieve service and line balancing goals and trouble shoots material shortages. This position is a key member of the Plant Manager s staff.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Utilizes Epicore CMS ERP system and finite scheduling tools to develop optimal schedules
  • Responsible for updating planning parameters-including but not limited to master data, safety stock levels, and optimal lot sizes.
  • Must maintain service level of 95% in order to provide customer satisfaction, market posture and increase profitability
  • Create and maintains inventory forecast, production plan, quality of inventory and performance to plan measurements to support service level and working capital objectives
  • Manage material shortages and inventory control

KEYS TO SUCCESS:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Typically requires several years of professional experience in function
  • Must have understanding of industry and the external influences on the business
  • May lead teams for continuous improvement of the process
  • Solid project management skills as will be assigned multi-faceted assignments
  • Develop and implement logistics plans that may affect the production, distribution and inventory of finished products in order to enhance desired production flow to achieve corporate objectives
  • Monitors inventory analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates
  • Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports
  • Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external plants
  • Frequent contact and interactions, both verbal and written with all levels of management

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS/BA or equivalent (3-5 years experience)
  • 3-5 years experience in inventory planning
  • Preferred experience with global manufacturing planning and inventory analysis


LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.


TRAVEL: Minimal, less than 10%


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
