Assistant Warehouse ClerkWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will assist with receiving, inventory management, material handling, and shipping activities to ensure accurate and timely support of production and customer requirements. This position contributes to maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Support: Assist with daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking, staging, and shipping of materials.Inventory Assistance: Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical verification, and system updates.Shipping & Receiving: Assist with inbound and outbound shipments by verifying materials, checking documentation, and preparing items for shipment.Material Handling: Safely move materials using pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (as trained) while following proper storage and handling procedures.System Transactions: Enter and update inventory transactions in ERP or warehouse management systems to maintain accurate records.Documentation: Help complete receiving logs, shipping paperwork, and inventory records; report discrepancies to warehouse leadership.Quality Checks: Inspect materials for damage or non-conformance and escalate issues as needed.Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse workspace.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDPrevious warehouse or inventory experience preferredAbility to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain)Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or warehouse systemsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow proceduresPhysical RequirementsThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday.Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, push and pull.Perform grasping, handling, and repetitive hand and arm movements.Maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, equipment, machinery controls, and computer devices as required.Safely operate hand tools, light power tools, and rotating equipment as required by the position.Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the position.Ability to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and work areas safely as required by the positionWork EnvironmentThe employee will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:The need to work safely around manufacturing processes and equipment while following all applicable safety policies and procedureVarying temperatures, including temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.Moderate to high levels of noise in designated production areas.Outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental elements, as business needs require.Welding operations, including exposure to welding arcs, sparks, heat, and airborne particulates in designated production areas.Core Principals & BehaviorsThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
