Shipping Office Coordinator ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to one of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. ADUSA Distribution facilities handle a mix of product types, including fresh, frozen, grocery and health and beauty care items. Our team is supporting the supply chain network evolution to an integrated self-distribution model of the future, serving leading omnichannel grocery brands - Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop.PRIMARY PURPOSEAs a Shipping Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating activities in the grocery and perishable shipping offices. You will also retain accurate and efficient records for grocery and perishable shipping departments to ensure a successful workflow.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESKeep and maintain accurate records (logs of seals, manifest sheets and trailer tracking) as required create load tickets for loaders and transportation, making sure that stores receive proper paperwork pertaining to orders, bills, scratches, split sheets, etc.Maintain an even and steady workflow for lift drivers performing replenishment dutiesKeep track of store selection completion and the timing of retrieving missed/short cases so that loaders can know when to seal a trailerFile shipping office records and paperworkKeep daily records of shipped casesEnsure delivery loads make it to dispatch by their dispatch time, to ensure on-time deliveryFollow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debrisResponsible for calculating daily workload variance(s)Responsible for assigning associate production job functions and manage indirect job functionsCoordinate breaks, lunches, and facilitate meetings based on workload and as neededPartner with Supervision and Third-Party Labor Providers to align and allocate labor with workloadsPartner with Transportation and Central Order Processing to resolve ordering and delivery exceptionsMake recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costsQUALIFICATIONSAble to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.Able to stand for long periods of timeGood communication, verbal and written skillsHave working knowledge of computers, programs, and office equipmentPossess a friendly and professional attitude when dealing with diverse workforceGood organizational skills and be team orientedAble to meet production standards set by the companyMust be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned dutiesMust be dependable in terms of attendance and punctualityAble to use personal computer for data entry and research purposesAble to read and understand written and numeric product identifiersHighly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAble to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)Able to work in a -5 degree to 90+ degree Fahrenheit environment (temperature varies within each department) for long periods of timePREFERRED REQUIREMENTSHigh School EducationCertification on powered industrial equipment where applicableFamiliarity/experience in a distribution environmentWorking knowledge of WMS3000, CAMS, and YMS (if applicable)We are an organization that values diversity and encourages all qualified individuals to apply without regard to sex, race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship status, religion, age, marital status (including civil unions), military service, veteran status, pregnancy (including childbirth and related medical conditions), genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, legally recognized disability, domestic violence victim status or any other characteristic protected by law.
