Job Responsibilities

State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma. Agency Additional Requirements: High School Diploma or GED with one (1) year related clerical experience or High School Diploma or GED with any amount of SCDHEC or SCDPH experience. Must possess a current driver's license. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and able to sit or stand for long periods of time with some bending, reaching, stooping and pulling. Must possess tact and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with co-workers and general public. Immunization Requirements: All employees who are healthcare workers with job-specific exposure risk are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, varicella, and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate. Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
