We might just be the place for you.Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery is a showcase for local farmers and food artisans. We buy from over 300 local producers to provide the community with a convenient and fun connection to those producers. We know every farm and every product has a story and we strive to tell the story in our grocery, cafe, kitchen, and food hub. Each one of these products is delivered to Swamp, many times by the farmers themselves. Our warehouse team is the vendor's main point of contact with the Swamp and our associates service all departments by checking delivery accuracy and quality and getting the product to its proper location.IMPORTANT INFORMATIONSTARTING PAY: $17.00/hr (based on skill and availability) - Full Time, non-exemptREPORTS TO: Warehouse ManagerRequirementsWHAT YOU CAN EXPECTFollows delivery protocol to check in products: confirms quantities ordered against what was received and ensures that products are adhering to the highest quality standardsRecognize and report any issues with product with the vendors during delivery and follow up with communication to buyersCommunicates delivery timing and quality issues to departments, purchaser, and producerKeeps Warehouse and multiple storage areas clean, organized and prepared for next shift; performs daily and deep cleaning projectsObserves all safety regulations when operating equipmentDriver Essential Job FunctionsOperates truck and equipment safely using prescribed techniquesCompletes pre-trip and post-trip safety inspection and reports and other documentation requested by supervisor dailyCommunicates vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor immediatelyNavigates routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policiesSafely loads and unloads items, ensuring all items are secured for transportEnsure that all required personal protective equipment be worn at appropriate timesSPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS?AGE/AVAILABILITYMust be 21 years of age or olderOne morning weekend shift requiredEssential Skills & ExperienceMust have a valid driver's license and pass a driving record checkMust wear safety footwear that meets ASTM F2413-18 (I50/C50) standard.
