Role Description

The P6 Planner Scheduler is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenville, SC. This position is responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules in Primavera P6 for electrical construction projects, ensuring accurate sequencing of activities and realistic timelines. Day-to-day tasks include gathering input from project managers, superintendents, and field teams; analyzing progress; and adjusting schedules to reflect actual performance and changes in scope. The role also involves preparing schedule reports, forecasts, and look-ahead plans; identifying critical paths and potential delays; and recommending mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. The P6 Planner Scheduler collaborates closely with operations, estimating, and management teams to support planning, resource allocation, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in project scheduling tools, with strong experience using Primavera P6 for construction or industrial projects.
• Solid understanding of project management principles, including critical path method (CPM), resource loading, and schedule risk analysis.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts, particularly for electrical and industrial projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify schedule impacts and propose practical recovery plans.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, field leaders, and clients.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting, and documentation.
• Experience in the electrical contracting or heavy commercial/industrial construction sector is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project controls or reporting software.
• Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Greenville, SC and visit project sites as needed, with a commitment to safety and quality.
