Material Handler

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading manufacturing company in the Greer, SC area, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team! This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse or materials experience who is looking for a stable Monday-Friday schedule and a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Material Handler Job Summary:
• Pay: $19.00 an hour during contract period / $20.00 an hour upon full-time conversion
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
• Contract: 6-month contract-to-hire
• Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and documentation, and complete put-away activities
• Pick, kit, and issue materials to production areas and internal departments
• Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation
• Maintain accurate inventory records through system transactions and cycle counts
• Assist with investigating inventory discrepancies and resolving variances
• Maintain organized bin locations and accurate warehouse layouts
• Track material shortages, damaged items, and non-moving or obsolete inventory
• Support kitting and staging of materials to ensure timely delivery to workstations
• Maintain receiving, shipping, and inventory records
• Follow 5S, safety, and warehouse best practices
• Work with team members to maintain efficient material flow and meet operational goals

Material Handler Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• 1-3 years of warehouse, material handling, distribution, or manufacturing experience is preferred
• Basic computer skills required; inventory or ERP system experience is preferred
• Experience using pallet jacks, dollies, or similar material-handling equipment
• Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate inventory records
• Must be dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
