Material Handler / Shipping Associate - 1st Shift

Location: Simpsonville, SC
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 10-12 hour shifts
Overtime: Ample OT available, typically 10-15 hours per week
Saturday: 8-hour shifts as needed

Job Description

Opsource has partnered with a local manufacturing facility in Simpsonville, SC, that is looking for a dependable Material Handler / Shipping Associate to join their 1st shift team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with metal fabrication or production experience who is comfortable working with hand and power tools, reading drawings, and using a tape measure.

Forklift experience is a plus, but not required! The company will provide forklift certification to qualified employees.

Responsibilities

• Pack parts and finished products into wooden shipping crates
• Nail and secure wooden crates for shipment
• Assist with loading and shipping activities
• Perform occasional quality inspections
• Check invoices and docking receipts
• Read and follow work orders and drawings
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Measure materials accurately using a tape measure
• Follow all safety and production procedures
• Work overtime and Saturdays as needed

• Previous metal fabrication or manufacturing production experience required
• Sit-down forklift experience is a plus
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and follow work orders
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed

• $17.00/hour starting pay
