Warehouse Associate (Inventory & Material Handling) - Materials Control Specialist IILocation: Duncan, South Carolina (Spartanburg County) Department: Warehouse Operations / Inventory / Supply Chain Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Inventory Manager Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site Pay Rate: $19 Schedule: Morning (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)Position OverviewWe are hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring accurate inventory, efficient material flow, and on-time support for production and shipping.You will work hands-on with receiving, picking, stocking, and SAP-based inventory transactions, while contributing to a safe and organized warehouse.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and store incoming materials and productsPick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping and production supportPerform inventory transactions in SAP or ERP systems (goods receipt, issue, transfers)Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counting and stock auditsOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment safelyEnsure proper labeling, storage, and organization of warehouse inventorySupport shipping and receiving operations, including loading/unloading trucksFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelinesParticipate in 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional departmentsQualificationsRequired Qualifications1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory controlBasic knowledge of inventory systems (SAP, ERP, or WMS)Experience with material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred)Ability to follow instructions and work in a team-oriented environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handlingGood communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environmentsFamiliarity with RF scanners, barcode systems, and warehouse management systems (WMS)Knowledge of inventory control processes, cycle counting, and stock replenishmentOSHA safety training or forklift operator certificationPhysical RequirementsAbility to walk 6–8 miles per shift in a warehouse environmentStand for extended periods during picking, packing, and stocking tasksLift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularlyPerform frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and climbingSafely operate warehouse equipment and machineryWork EnvironmentFast-paced warehouse and distribution settingExposure to temperature changes and loading dock conditionsNoise levels from forklifts and industrial equipmentRequired use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes, gloves, safety glassesWhy Join Us?Be part of a team that values efficiency, safety, and teamwork.
