Job Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Director of Admissions, the program assistant for Admissions provides excellent stakeholder service to all guests of the SCGSAH and the Governor's School for the Arts Foundation. Additionally, the program assistant provides clerical support for the Admissions Office and other offices as required. In this position, the job functions are but not limited to:
- Receives and answers general inquiries for the Admissions office and the school, including via telephone and email.
- Greets and assists all visitors to the SCGSAH and the Governor's School for the Arts Foundation. Performs security checks on all visitors. Connects guests and their campus hosts. Ensures a welcoming and inviting environment for all campus guests.
- Performs general clerical duties for the Admissions and Alumni and Summer Programs offices, including, but not limited to distributing mailings, typing documents, procuring supplies, etc.
- Manages the School's Student Ambassador program.
- Maintains calendars and appointments for Admissions. Coordinates participants in campus visits, including guests, employees, and student ambassadors.
- Supports major campus and departmental events, including recruitment days, openings, and closings of programs, etc.
- Receives packages and deliveries for SCGSAH. Coordinate deliveries to campus offices in conjunction with the school's Facilities team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Additional requirements:
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of various types of filing systems.
- Knowledge of grammatical rules and clerical formats.
- Ability to deal with a diverse population including students, parents, and faculty in handling inquiries and communicating information.
- Ability to maintain and establish good working relationships with staff members and the general public.
- Must be able to hear, speak audibly, walk, and lift up to 35 lbs., regularly.
- Must be able to sit at an assigned workspace for extended periods.
- Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications A bachelor's degree and experience in a boarding school, high school, or collegiate environment. Previous experience in admissions or student recruitment is preferred. Experience with Blackbaud Enrollment Management is preferred. Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
