Shipping & Receiving Clerk This position is responsible for shipping and receiving all parts (including customer orders), raw materials, and other various items for FSNA.Follow verbal and written instructions from the supervisor while adhering to internal policies, procedures, and standards of conductLoad and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipmentPerform ERP transactions related to shipping and receiving, including material movement for incoming and outgoing goodsCoordinate freight pickups and communicate with carriers regarding outbound shipmentsPrepare outgoing shipments through labeling, banding, and general packaging activitiesConduct receiving inspections for visible damage, quantity discrepancies, or incorrect shipments, and report issues as neededMaintain organization and efficient material flow within shipping, receiving, and storage areasSupport inventory accuracy through cycle counting and organization activitiesMaintain accurate documentation and email communication related to shipping and receiving operationsSupport production schedules by ensuring timely movement and processing of materialsUnderstands and utilizes best practices of inspecting, counting, shipping and receiving goodsUnderstands common carrier routes and utilizes knowledge to find efficient shipping methodsA general ability to identify various types of customer partsAppropriate Safety knowledgeAbility to operate forklift and other material handling equipmentAbility to bend, twist, climb, stoop or standAbility to spend time sitting at a desk or workstationAbility to sit or stand for long periods of timeAbility to pay attention to detail and follow detailed written and verbal instructionsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsAn essential function for this position, based on business necessity, is that the employee must be physically in attendance at his/her workstation at the designated company office location during the normal business hoursThis position is an inside position working 100% of the time in a non-climate controlled environmentPlease note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for the employee for this job.
