Description The Travel Patient Care Assistant :provides direct patient care and clinical support in outpatient pain management clinics and hospital settings. This role assists providers with patient care, prepares treatment rooms, assists with monitoring patients before and after procedures, and delivers compassionate, high-quality care while traveling to various healthcare facilities as assigned. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring a positive patient experience.Job Summary Key Responsibilities Assist providers with patient examinations and pain management procedures.Prepare patients for injections, nerve blocks, and other pain management treatments.Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient concerns.Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any changes in condition.Prepare, clean, and restock examination and procedure rooms while maintaining infection prevention and sterilization standards.Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).Educate patients on post-procedure care and discharge instructions as directed by the provider.Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.Travel to assigned healthcare facilities and quickly adapt to new clinical environments and workflows.Requirements High school diploma or GED required.Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.Previous experience in a clinical, outpatient, or pain management setting is preferred.Ability to travel for temporary assignments and work flexible schedules.Skills Excellent patient care and communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Attention to detail with accurate documentation skills.Ability to safely assist and transfer patients.Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.Adaptability to different healthcare settings and patient populations.Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to assist with patient transfers and positioning.Manual dexterity to operate medical equipment and supplies.#J-18808-Ljbffr
