PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a skilled and reliable Chemical Packaging Operator for an industrial chemical facility for our customer in the Greenville, SC area.
In this role, you will be responsible for the precise filling, labeling, and movement of Reservol Powder. This is a hands-on position that requires a "safety-first" mindset, as you will be working with chemical hazards and utilizing specialized PPE, including respirators. If you take pride in meeting challenging objectives and can work with minimal supervision, you will thrive with this team.

Chemical Packaging Operator Primary Responsibilities:
Your main responsibility is the safe and accurate packaging of powder materials, ensuring all quantities and labels match strict production paperwork.

• Packaging & Filling: Fill drums, bulk bags, and paper bags with chemical powders according to specific weight and volume requirements.
• Logistics & Material Handling: Utilize a forklift to move finished materials from the production line to the warehouse for storage or shipping.
• Labeling & Documentation: Ensure the proper labeling of all containers; verify that all quantities are 100% in-line with production paperwork.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all chemical hazard protocols and wear required PPE (Steel-Toe Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, and Respirators).
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring tools and packaging machinery are used correctly.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with site leadership and team members to meet production goals and solve operational challenges.

Chemical Packaging Operator Requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of powder packing experience is preferred; previous experience in an industrial chemical environment is highly valued.
• Forklift Proficiency: Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production setting.
• Chemical Knowledge: Basic understanding of chemical hazards and the ability to follow strict safety guidelines.
• Physical Capability: Must be able to handle 200 lb. drums (using proper equipment/techniques) and lift 50 lbs. consistently.
• Technical Skills: Basic math and reading skills are required for verifying quantities and following work instructions.
