Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Packer-Inspector is responsible for the shift activities related to the inspection and final packaging of all finished product at the facility.Essential Job Requirements & DutiesFollow all safety rules and position SOP'sRecord keeping and general administrative dutiesParticipation in team activities and team meetingsActive participation in problem solving initiativesAble to be trained and to train othersMaintenance of cleanliness of plant and facilityAdvancement in job skillsUnderstanding of all packing and palletizing requirementsLot/label control and finished productAbility to communicate effectively with shift supervisor, operators, and quality techniciansInspection of packaging materials and supplies prior to useKnowledge / Skills / ExperienceAble to read and writePass drug screen, physical, and background checkAble to work continuous operation schedule (days/nights/weekends)Be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime, if requiredAbility to read, interpret and perform the physical requirements related to the work instructionsAbility to lift up to 35 lbsAble to stand for 11 hoursCommunication of quality issues to production personnel in a timely mannerPrevious experience in a manufacturing facility a plusOur ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
