Avionic Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Avionic Technician in Greenville, SC for an 8 month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports final assembly and checkout functions including electrical harness and wire installs, continuity testing, system testing, soldering, and termination operations. The position involves testing and installing electrical harnesses and components, routing cables and wires, performing operational checks, and supporting avionics troubleshooting and repair as assigned.

Required Skills

• Avionics or harness modification experience
• Heavy electrical modification experience accepted
• Experience testing and installing electrical harnesses and components
• Experience routing wires and cables
• Experience terminating cables and wires
• Experience performing operational checks
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems as assigned
• Ability to support general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections as needed
• Ability to work any assigned shift after training based on program need

Preferred Skills

• Fighter aircraft experience
• Active clearance

What You'll Do

• Support final assembly and checkout functions
• Install electrical harnesses and wires
• Perform continuity testing and system testing
• Perform soldering and termination operations
• Test and install electrical harnesses and components
• Route various wires and cables
• Terminate cables and wires
• Perform operational checks
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems based on assigned area
• Support general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections as needed

Work Schedule / Shift

• Must be able to work any shift assigned after training based on program need
• 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
• Weekend Shift: Thursday-Sunday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
