Firewatch Personnel

Skillforce is hiring firewatch personnel for an industrial construction project in Greer, SC. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment during welding and hot work operations. Candidates with prior industrial or construction site experience are preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Monitor welding and hot work areas for fire hazards
2. Ensure fire extinguishers and safety equipment remain accessible
3. Maintain constant watch during active welding operations
4. Communicate hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately
5. Assist with maintaining clean and organized work areas
6. Follow all OSHA and site safety regulations
7. Support welders and pipe crews as needed

Requirements:

• Previous construction or industrial site experience preferred
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Ability to remain alert and safety-focused throughout shift
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
