F-16 Aircraft Mechanic

PGS Worldwide is seeking an F-16 Aircraft Mechanic in Greenville, SC for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The F-16 Aircraft Mechanic will support final assembly checkout, maintenance, and delivery of F-16 aircraft. This role focuses on inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and modifying aircraft systems and powerplants while supporting aircraft readiness, launch and recovery, and final delivery activities.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of recent aircraft experience.
  • Fighter aircraft experience preferred, but not required.
  • Candidates with 4 years of experience may be considered if they have relevant fighter jet experience.
  • Experience with phase maintenance, final assembly, or flight operations/flight readiness.
  • Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and modifying aircraft systems.
  • Experience working from established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems operation and maintenance.
  • Experience with landing gear systems.
  • Experience with powerplants.
  • Experience with flight controls.
  • Experience with fueling and defueling operations.
  • Experience with aircraft movement, launch, and recovery.
  • Ability to work 1st shift, 2nd shift, or weekend shift as assigned after training.

Preferred Skills

  • F-16 experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Fighter aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience with APG maintenance, final assembly checkout, aircraft delivery, aircraft systems troubleshooting, flightline maintenance, depot maintenance, flight readiness, and production aircraft support.

What You'll Do

  • Support F-16 final assembly checkout, maintenance, and aircraft delivery.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify aircraft systems and powerplants.
  • Perform work in accordance with written procedures, specifications, and standards.
  • Support landing gear, powerplant, flight control, fuel, and aircraft movement systems.
  • Support fueling, defueling, launch, recovery, and aircraft readiness activities.
  • Perform phase maintenance, final assembly, or flight operations support depending on assignment.
  • Work with the production team to meet aircraft delivery and readiness requirements.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Must be able to work 1st shift, 2nd shift, or weekend shift after training based on team need.
  • 1st shift: MondayThursday, 5:30 AM4:00 PM.
  • 2nd shift: MondayThursday, 3:00 PM1:30 AM.
  • Weekend shift: ThursdaySunday, 6:00 AM4:30 PM.

Pay

  • $34.00$40.00/hour
