Maintenance Technician

  2026-06-18     RecruitMilitary Placement Services     Greenville,SC
Description:

The client is a global leader in robotics and automated intralogistics solutions, supporting some of the world's most advanced manufacturing and distribution operations. Their systems improve efficiency, automation, and operational performance through cutting-edge robotics and data-driven technologies. Supporting these systems requires highly skilled maintenance professionals capable of keeping advanced automation equipment operating at peak performance.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will support highly automated logistics and robotic systems within a customer manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include performing preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting system faults, supporting reactive maintenance during operations, and documenting all work within CMMS systems. You'll monitor system performance, work closely with maintenance planners and site leadership, and ensure all tools, parts, and resources are available for scheduled maintenance activities. Success in this role means maximizing system uptime, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of advanced automation equipment.

This role aligns exceptionally well with veterans from industrial, electrical, and automation maintenance backgrounds. Military experience such as Navy Electrician's Mate (EM), Electronics Technician (ET), Army 94-series electronics repair, 91D Power Generation Equipment Repairer, Air Force Avionics or Electrical Systems (2A / 3E0X1), or Marine Corps electronics maintenance MOSs translates directly. Veterans experienced in troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems, reading schematics, and supporting mission-critical equipment will find this role a strong fit.

This is a hands-on industrial automation role performed inside a highly automated manufacturing environment. Maintenance Engineers troubleshoot PLCs, electrical systems, motors, drives, relays, sensors, and field bus communication systems while supporting continuous operations. The role requires comfort using multimeters, reading electrical prints and mechanical drawings, and performing physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, or eMaint is highly valued.

Woodruff, South Carolina, is part of the rapidly growing Upstate South Carolina manufacturing corridor, home to major automotive, logistics, and advanced manufacturing operations. The cost of living in Woodruff is approximately 10-15% below the national average, with significantly lower housing costs than many industrial markets across the country. This provides strong purchasing power and long-term affordability while still offering proximity to Greenville and Spartanburg-two of the Southeast's fastest-growing economic regions with excellent outdoor recreation, mild climate, and expanding career opportunities.
