Job Title: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)Type: Direct HireWork Location: Hybridin Greenville, SCJob OverviewWe are seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), licensed in South Carolina, to lead and manage survey operations at our Greenville office. The PLS will be responsible for overseeing survey projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company standards, managing field and CAD teams, and delivering accurate results to clients. This leadership role is central to maintaining our corporate mantra: “Accuracy First, Customers Always.”Essential Job ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Oversight:Supervise and review survey work, including boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, construction staking, flood zone delineation, and sUAS-based mapping.Manage project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure quality and profitability.Assign and monitor tasks for CAD operators, project managers, and field crews.Regulatory & Professional Compliance:Stamp, sign, and certify plats, maps, and legal survey documents.Ensure compliance with SC state regulations, professional standards, and corporate procedures.Maintain familiarity with NAD83, NAVD88, and upcoming NATRF2022 datum transitions.Team Leadership & Development:Lead, mentor, and train survey staff, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.Coordinate daily crew assignments and resource allocation.Provide technical guidance and peer review for field and office work.Client & Stakeholder Relations:Serve as the professional point of contact for clients, attorneys, developers, and engineers.Communicate project milestones, deliverables, and status updates.Uphold Surveying's reputation through professionalism, responsiveness, and technical expertise.Required Skills & ExperienceActive South Carolina PLS License in good standing.Minimum of 5 years of progressive land surveying experience, including project and staff management.Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, sUAS's, and AutoDesk Civil 3D.Strong knowledge of state and local surveying laws, standards, and best practices.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Bonus PointsMulti‑state licensure (GA, NC) or ability to obtain additional licensure.Experience with all types of survey projects, from small retracements to large‑scale infrastructure projects.Benefits OfferedCompetitive salary and performance‑based bonuses.Full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plan.Professional development support and continuing education opportunities.Access to advanced technology and equipment.A supportive, growth‑oriented team environment within a veteran‑owned business.Job Requisition # 40142Salary: A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $120,000 - $135,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
