This role performs engineering assignments of moderate complexity within a multi-discipline environment.The position contributes to planning, design, and construction phases while ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIESThe engineer plans, organizes, and supports mechanical and process engineering design activities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases.Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, and design documentation related to piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), mechanical systems, water systems, and equipment design.Support accurate development of design deliverables and ensure technical requirements are met through coordination with project stakeholders, including engineering teams, project management, vendors, and clients.Participate in procurement support activities, review design calculations, and contribute to construction documentation and field support as needed.WORK HOURSA standard 40-hour work week is expected. Additional schedule details will be provided by the client. Overtime may be required to meet project deliverables.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.Experience / SkillsMinimum five (5) years of related engineering experience.Experience with mechanical systems, piping systems, or process equipment design.Knowledge of P&IDs, design calculations, and engineering specifications.Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards.Experience supporting design, estimating, and construction documentation activities.Strong communication and teamwork skills.OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSFamiliarity with computer-aided drafting applications.Ability to work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience supporting DOE or Federal Government projects.Practical field or construction experience.OLH Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
