This is a high‑volume, fast‑paced plant environment with significant scale, including a 1M sq ft facility, 24/6 operations, and 35+ molding presses ranging from 100–2000 tons.This Process Engineer opening is part of a broader hiring need, with multiple openings across shifts due to recent resignations. The team is looking to add hands‑on engineering talent quickly, and this role offers strong visibility across production, tooling, and process performance.This is a great fit for someone who enjoys being on the floor, solving processing issues in real time, and working closely with technicians, mold setters, and tooling to improve performance.What You'll Do You'll lead process optimization and troubleshooting for injection molding operations, helping ensure parts are produced safely, consistently, and to customer expectations.The role includes developing and maintaining process standards, resolving technical processing issues, and tightening process ranges for quality and reliability.You'll work closely with technicians, mold setters, and the tool shop to improve uptime, support tool repairs, and drive process improvements.This position also supports new materials/process exploration, documentation, cost reduction efforts, and day‑to‑day coordination across production and technical teams.Who You Are You're a hands‑on process engineer who is comfortable on the plant floor and confident solving molding challenges in real time.You bring strong troubleshooting skills, technical depth in injection molding, and the ability to work across teams without losing momentum.You're someone who can lead with urgency, communicate clearly, and help build consistency in a demanding manufacturing environment.Preferred Experience & Attributes Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar (equivalent experience considered)2–5 years of injection molding experienceAt least 2 years of automotive manufacturing experienceExperience with troubleshooting and root cause problem solvingKnowledge of valve gate, hot runner systems, and scientific injection molding principlesHands‑on mindset with the ability to solve daily production/process challengesAbility and willingness to travel to customer sites/industrial environments as neededRJG Master Molder I / II training preferredProblem‑solving training preferredWhy This Role Matters This role is critical to stabilizing and improving processing performance in a large, high‑output automotive plant.
