GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To lead daily operations of the assigned specialty store while modeling a strong work ethic, excellent customer service, and Goodwill's mission-driven values.
To encourage and promote positive associate, customer, and donor relationships that support sales growth, operational excellence, and the profitability of Goodwill Industries.
To establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, associates, customers, and donors in support of Goodwill's mission services.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist leadership in the development and daily operations of the assigned specialty store to maximize sales, donations, inventory flow, and overall performance in compliance with the annual operating budget.
  2. Complete all required management and leadership training classes available through Goodwill University.
  3. Supervise associates and clients in the day-to-day operations of the specialty store and support cross-training in assigned areas of responsibility.
  4. Accurately operate the cash register, barcode devices, and other point-of-sale equipment.
  5. Maintain monthly inventories, supplies, and daily reports accurately and timely.
  6. Accurately check in shipments from stores, including tracking pieces received and/or produced by store.
  7. Identify, evaluate, and properly price items that meet specialty store standards.
  8. Maintain proper rotation of product and ensure the specialty store salesfloor remains full, organized, and visually appealing.
  9. Maintain merchandising displays and support production goals that drive sales, inventory flow, and overall store performance.
  10. Process, stock, merchandise, colorize, size, tag, barb, and date merchandise while maintaining product quality standards.
  11. Monitor inventory levels for processing and communicate product needs to the Senior Manager of Retail Excellence.
  12. Perform and assign general housekeeping, custodial, and janitorial duties as scheduled or needed.
  13. Attend all required training sessions and established management meetings as scheduled.
  14. Ensure compliance with established Goodwill policies and procedures.
  15. Assist at other locations as needed.
  16. Work with the specialty store team to maximize growth, sales, and operational execution.
  17. Adhere to all attendance, loss prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  18. Perform all other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS, AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Experience Two to three years of retail experience, or experience in a relevant field, highly preferred. Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, including planning, organizing, directing, merchandising, training, and customer service.

Physical Requirements Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to perform limited work outdoors.

Safety & Security Responsible for following all safety and security requirements, as directed by Goodwill policy.

Work Attire Each associate is expected to present a fashionable, neat, and clean appearance that reflects Goodwill's positive image in the community. Each associate is required to follow the dress code, including wearing the required name badge where visible at all times.
