Job Description Job Description MissionWaséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) is a 100% Tribally owned, Native American SBA 8(a) small business of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP). WFS is part of a portfolio of companies managed by Waséyabek Development Company, LLC, a 100% Tribally owned economic development firm focused on income diversification on behalf of NHBP that reaches beyond gaming is a well-funded, experienced small business, with substantial liquid assets and experience in federal contracting. WFS has borrowing capacity to meet the daily cash needs of new business development, new award support, and operational working capital. WFS is well-versed in federal contract compliance and providing outstanding support services.Position Summary The purpose of this position is to plan and perform work requiring sound technical judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of project management assignments worldwide. This role has the responsibility to perform the essential job duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of managing and/or coordinating project activities that are in compliance with the contract and ensure the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completed project. Performing assigned general duties of limited scope and level of responsibility, this position is designed to develop broader project management knowledge and experience. At this level, the role may have the responsibility as the only project engineer on a medium size project with full accountability for the general duties, or the responsibility for general duties on a larger or more complex segment of a very large project.Responsibilities: Perform basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problemsCoordinate efforts of technical disciplines, vendors and licensorsto ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements and contractual obligationsReview project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supporting functional organization managers and/or subcontractorsSupport creation and coordination of overall project plans and schedules, and monitoring activities, progress, and milestones against the plansSupport creation and coordination of project effort hours, and cost estimates and budgets, and monitor progress and cost performance against theseSupport the preparation, delivery and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packagesOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementsAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerDiscipline Specific Job Requirements: Make use of Fluor University courses for continued learning experiencesUtilize knowledge management communities to capture, support and leverage relevant knowledge to enhance project executionParticipate in vendor trade shows and become familiar with new technologies and industry business directionPreferred Qualifications: Six (6) years of experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry including the performance of functional tasks on projects with a well-developed understanding of procedures and interfacesExperience participating in risk assessments initiativesExperience in international locations and diverse cultural environments is recommendedPrevious successful performance in a project engineering position on a minimum of two (2) medium or large sized projectsDetailed knowledge of Fluor's software tools and databases preferredAbility to develop and sustain productive customer relationships while meeting the company's needsFlexible and adaptable approach, willingness to take on new work challenges; adaptable to changing circumstancesDemonstrated strategic thinking, accountability, and adaptability skillsAbility to set and maintain high standards of performance with responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasksCustomer focused with ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships while meeting the company's needsProactive reporting of progress and accomplishments of assignments and apply necessary follow-up to monitor progress and results of project tasks and assignmentsAnalytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutionsTechnical and business writing skillsBasic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, and project management toolsCertification in project management suggested, for example Project Management Professional (PMP)Disclaimer: This job description indicates in general the nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other essential functions (as covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act) expected of an incumbent.
