Forklift / Material Handler

Amentum is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Fork Truck Driver / Material Handler to join our industrial maintenance team in Greenville, SC. As a key team member, you will handle the efficient transportation of materials within and outside the facility while ensuring adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items.
  • Transport materials within the facility and to external locations as needed.
  • Handle order picking, packaging, and preparation for shipment.
  • Maintain professional and courteous relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Communicate material handling equipment (MHE) concerns to team members and management.
  • Follow and promote Amentum safety practices, participating in safety meetings and adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Complete other duties assigned by supervisors or managers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Requirements:

  • Pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License (if required for the position).
  • U.S. work authorization required (sponsorship not available).
  • Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client's location.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and alternative schedules as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently climb ladders, stairs, and navigate uneven surfaces during shifts.
  • Perform repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, and wrist movements.
  • Kneel, reach, and move actively through 90-degree motions during shifts.
  • Walk extensively throughout the facility during work hours.
  • Use approved utility knives and differentiate wire color codes.
  • Interact professionally with clients, team members, and management, even in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Note: Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, etc., is mandatory.

$20
