Job Description Job Description A full service creditor's rights law firm with a national bankruptcy practice is seeking an attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. A qualified candidate must have 2+ years' experience and a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. However, we are open to training the right team-oriented candidate with less experience. License to practice law in South Carolina.Specific Job Responsibilities:Primarily manages bankruptcy routine mattersDraft and review all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matterAttends scheduled hearingsResponds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiriesReview filings on behalf of the clientsMonitoring of all electronic filings (ECFs)Resolving routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.Regular communication with the client, opposing counsel and the CourtRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights lawsComputer Literacy ProfessionalismKeyboard Skills Attention to detailTime Management Communication SkillsRequired Education and Training:Law degree – JDBarred in SCAdmitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in SC
