Job Description Job Description Easley Animal Hospital is a privately owned small animal practice located near downtown Easley. We are seeking to hire an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. The main duty of this full-time position is being on the floor assisting with patient appointments.Qualifications· Minimum 1 year experience as Veterinary AssistantIdeal candidate should possess the following traits:Team oriented with a positive attitudeDependabilityAttention to detailSelf-motivationAbility to follow instructions, both written and oralTime managementGood communication and documentation skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and handle pets of various sizes safelyJob duties will include, but are not limited to:Receiving and discharging patientsAssisting in exam rooms, including collecting patient history and vital signsComforting and restraining pets as neededAdministering medication and treatment as directedEducating clientsCollecting blood, urine, and fecal samplesRunning lab work, both in-house and to the reference labTaking radiographsParticipating in general hospital cleanlinessSharing in occasional kennel dutiesA minimum of 1 year experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required.
