Job Description Job Description Description: Hiring for projects in the Upstate - Greenville/Spartanburg/AndersonPosition SummaryNetwork Controls and Electric Inc. has an immediate need for an experienced Access Control Technician . The Access Control Technician will install specified card access systems offered by Network Controls to existing and new clientele throughout the Greater Greenville marketplace. Some travel may be required but will be on a case-by-case basis and is generally limited to a maximum of 2 weeks in duration.Position ResponsibilitiesInstallation:Technicians install various components of a DAS/BDA system, including antennas, cables (coaxial, fiber optic, CAT5/6), BDA units (amplifiers), splitters, and grounding equipment.Reading Blueprints:They interpret design drawings and blueprints to correctly place and secure components.Cable Termination:They prepare, terminate, and secure various types of cables to the appropriate connectors.Testing & Troubleshooting:Technicians perform testing to verify signal strength and functionality, and they troubleshoot issues to ensure the system operates effectively.Maintenance:They also conduct maintenance and periodic inspections to ensure the systems remain compliant with building codesKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceProficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and web-based applicationsTeamwork oriented with mentoring skills and a willingness to help othersThe ability to work with all departments internallyStrong customer service and organizational skillsValid in-state Driver's License and acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Report/Driving Record)Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
