Job Description Job Description Salary: StipendPosition SummaryThe Middle School Boys Soccer Coach is responsible for leading and developing the Middle Schools boys soccer program (Grades 6th-8th) in a positive, educational, and competitive environment. The coach will help student-athletes build soccer skills, teamwork, leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship while supporting the mission and values of the school.Primary ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and lead practices, conditioning sessions, and games for the middle school boys soccer teamTeach soccer fundamentals, techniques, strategies, and rules of the gameDevelop players skills in passing, shooting, defending, ball control, positioning, and teamworkPromote sportsmanship, respect, accountability, and character development among student-athletesSupervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activitiesEnsure player safety and proper use of equipment and facilitiesCommunicate effectively with players, parents, administration, officials, and athletic staffMaintain team discipline and enforce school and athletic department policiesAssist with scheduling needs, equipment inventory, uniforms, and field setup/cleanupEncourage academic achievement and positive behavior among student-athletesAttend coaches meetings, athletic events, and professional development opportunities as requiredRepresent the school and athletic program in a professional and positive mannerQualificationsPrevious soccer coaching or playing experience preferredKnowledge of middle school soccer rules, techniques, and player developmentStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to motivate, teach, and mentor middle school student-athletesAbility to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and parentsCPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Time CommitmentAfter-school practices during the soccer seasonEarly Evening gamesOff-season communication and program support as neededDesired CharacteristicsPositive role model for studentsPassion for coaching and developing young athletesDependable, energetic, and professionalStrong commitment to student growth both on and off the field
