Aircraft Mechanic

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic in Greenville, SC for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports production flightline operations for advanced aircraft, including launch and recovery, inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems. You will play a key role in ensuring aircraft readiness and operational performance.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of recent aircraft maintenance experience, or 4+ years with relevant fighter jet experience
• Experience performing flightline operations including launch and recovery
• Experience with aircraft inspections including preflight, through-flight, and post-flight
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft systems
• Experience working with electro-mechanical and hydraulic-pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of aircraft systems including landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, and fueling/defueling operations
• Experience with aircraft movement and ground handling
• Ability to remove panels and access components for repair and maintenance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced flightline environment

Preferred Skills

• Aircraft flightline experience
• Active Secret Clearance
• Clearance eligibility with process initiated prior to start

What You'll Do

• Support flightline operations including launch, recovery, and aircraft movement
• Perform preflight, through-flight, and post-flight inspections
• Conduct routine troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems
• Perform operational checkouts, engine runs, and servicing
• Maintain and repair electrical, hydraulic-pneumatic, propulsion, and mechanical systems
• Inspect aircraft components including landing gear, flight controls, and airframe structures
• Remove panels and hardware to access and repair aircraft systems
• Ensure aircraft meet safety and readiness standards for delivery and operation

Work Schedule / Shift

• Must be able to work either:

• MondayThursday, 5:30 AM4:00 PM, or
• MondayThursday, 3:00 PM1:30 AM
