This position operates various types of lift trucks to support the tool room, steel fab, and production departments.
Operate forklift to deliver plates, baskets, rebar racks, Styrofoam, and other items to production areas in a timely manner. Operate overhead crane as needed. Perform daily pre-operation inspection on equipment. Keep areas stocked as needed. Use radio to check in with all departments and address needs as requested. Empty dumpsters. Unload trucks. Stage product in designated areas. Change cable rolls. Ensure proper storage and safe handling of welding gasses. Inform maintenance of issues needing attention. Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.

This position requires standing for long periods of time, lifting (up to 75 lbs.) and bending, repetitive motion with medium force, and an ability to frequently climb up to 15 feet above ground using stairs. Constant action of getting off and on the forklift throughout the workday.
