Description:

Company: Hubbell Incorporated

Job Overview

Hubbell is modernizing the technology that powers manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise operations. We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to help define and guide the target‑state architecture for digital manufacturing, enterprise platforms, integration, data, and AI‑enabled capabilities. This role blends strategic architecture leadership with hands‑on partnership across business and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.

  • Develop and evolve enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and multi‑year roadmaps aligned to business outcomes across manufacturing and corporate functions.
  • Partner with manufacturing operations, supply chain, and business leaders to translate priorities into actionable architectures and delivery roadmaps.
  • Lead architecture for end‑to‑end business capabilities, balancing standardization with plant‑level operational realities.
  • Define target‑state application and integration architectures (API‑first, event‑driven, middleware/iPaaS) to enable reliable, reusable connectivity across SAP and non‑SAP systems.
  • Provide architectural guidance for major ERP and platform initiatives; experience with SAP (ECC and/or S/4HANA) is valued, but the role spans the broader enterprise landscape (MES, PLM, analytics, integration).
  • Enable data, analytics, and AI use cases (e.g., predictive maintenance, quality analytics, operational insights) with appropriate governance, security, and lifecycle controls.
  • Evaluate AI platforms and capabilities (GenAI, AI services, MLOps/LLMOps) and guide pilots through scalable implementations with measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure architectures align with Zero Trust principles, compliance requirements, and resiliency expectations.
  • Participate in architecture governance, vendor evaluations, and key program decisions; identify risks, tradeoffs, and dependencies early to accelerate delivery.
  • Mentor solution architects and delivery teams, promoting architecture best practices and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree/certifications are a plus.
  • 10–12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related senior technical roles in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems (plant operations, OT/IT considerations, MES/MOM, quality, maintenance) and how they integrate with enterprise platforms.
  • Experience architecting complex enterprise application landscapes; familiarity with ERP modernization and integrations is important (SAP experience preferred).
  • Experience enabling AI‑driven solutions, including analytics platforms, AI services, and/or GenAI use cases; ability to translate AI opportunities into governed, scalable delivery.
  • Working knowledge of cloud and hybrid architectures (Azure/AWS) and modern integration patterns.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to communicate tradeoffs and recommend practical paths forward.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence across executives, plant leaders, and technical teams.
