Details Acute care hospital ultrasound department handling a diverse mix of emergent and specialized cases Pediatric emergent cases include appendicitis, pyloric stenosis, intussusception, torsion, and occasional hip effusion Transplant program imaging for kidney, liver, and occasional pancreas transplants Additional case types include NICU neonatal head ultrasounds, occasional breast ultrasounds (mastitis/abscess), and OB exams primarily in the first trimester with occasional limited 2nd/3rd trimester exams Ultrasound-guided needle procedures are not expected; paracentesis may occur on rare occasions Equipment includes GE E10 in exam rooms, GE Fortis portable unit, GE S8 portable unit, and Trophon 2 high-level disinfection system EMR systems: Epic and Philips VUE PACS Night shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM May be required to float to other units or campuses within the health system based on census needs, limited to areas where competencies have been demonstrated Requirements Current BLS and ARDMS certifications required Minimum of 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required Pediatric ultrasound experience required, including emergent cases Transplant ultrasound experience required (kidney, liver) Ability to perform both pediatric and transplant imaging License required if applicable Two professional references required for consideration Driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered provided they have the required pediatric and transplant experience Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this position (night shift ultrasound tech role falls under the Exception 2 mileage rule) Hunter green scrubs required American Traveler Job ID P-703734.
