Assesses, transports and administers basic life support treatment to ill and injured persons in accordance with department, system and DHEC policies, procedures and standards. Assesses patients conditions to determine appropriate emergency care. Provides CPR, airway management, oxygen therapy, bleeding control, and other basic life support interventions. Administers first aid, manage medical emergencies, and provide support during traumatic injuries or illness. Safely transport patients to healthcare facilities using emergency vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and organizational policies. Completes patient care reports, maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
