The person in this position will schedule assigned work to shop technicians for timely completion of required maintenance tasks. Monitor bus shop technician workloads and make recommendations concerning workloads to the County Supervisor. Conduct Thirty day, Six-week and Annual vehicle inspections, assure that bus shop technicians correct inspection failures and file reports in accordance with state policies and guidelines. Assure that all inspections, technician follow-up, and reports are complete, accurate, and timely. Supervise bus shop technicians to assure that bus shop facilities, equipment and grounds are neat, clean, and free of potential safety and environmental violations. Ensure that the bus shop repair equipment is operational and ready for use by the bus shop technicians. Report recommendations on needed equipment repairs and get repairs done in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
