WYFF, the NBC affiliate in Greenville, SC, has an opening for an experienced and dynamic Newscast Director . The Newscast Director communicates and executes all technical aspects of live production, with all technical staff, including the Producer, Technical Director, Audio Operator, Studio, and Engineering. You will report to Newscast Operations & Program Manager.ResponsibilitiesDirect broadcast newscastsProvide creative input and will work with the newscast producer and production crewBe responsible for clean technical execution of the look of the newscastWill call and punch a newscastRequirements2+ years directing and technical directing a newscastHave experience with production switchers, video servers, and audio and studio equipmentMOS and basic computer network understandingUnderstanding of newsroom systems ENPS and video playback systemsTechnical know-how to resolve existing issues and to work around problems that arise during live newsNewscast Director will also post to websiteCan work flexible hours and shifts, including holidays and weekendsRelated military experience will be consideredIn-person attendance is requiredValues in ActionAt Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
