Senior Human Resources Generalist

We are partnering with a well-established organization in Greenville, SC, to search for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a hands-on, high-impact role. This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with leadership while owning key HR functions across multiple sites. This is an onsite role in Greenville.

Essential Duties & Functions

  • Partner closely with HR leadership and site management to support employees and drive HR initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, requisition management, candidate coordination, offer administration, and onboarding.
  • Ensure a seamless pre-boarding and orientation experience while maintaining compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
  • Manage and audit onboarding documentation, including I-9 and E-Verify processing.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop and maintain accurate job descriptions, ensuring clarity in responsibilities, qualifications, and physical requirements.
  • Conduct compensation analysis using market data tools to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices; maintain pay scales and support bonus program administration.
  • Administer employee benefits, including new hire enrollment, life event changes, and coordination with vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Manage leave of absence processes across locations, including communication with employees, coordination with payroll and vendors, and oversight of disability claims and benefits continuation.
  • Maintain and update HRIS records, ensuring data integrity and accurate employee information.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting and employee development initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related topics as needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, offering guidance on employee relations, organizational development, and HR best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, improve employee engagement, and support overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Partner with leadership to proactively address risk and resolve workplace issues.
  • Travel periodically to company locations to build relationships, support operations, and gain insight into site-specific needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably supporting multi-site operations across multiple states.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws, particularly in South Carolina, with the ability to adapt to additional jurisdictions as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, onboarding, compensation analysis, and HR operations.
  • Functional knowledge of benefits and leave administration.
  • Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to independently assess situations and provide sound HR guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of professionalism and clarity.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and leadership levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting performance management processes and employee development initiatives preferred.
