Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative I is responsible for generating and nurturing leads, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting the sales process through various communication channels such as phone, email, and CRM systems. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and qualify leads to identify potential sales opportunities.

  • Generate quotes, present product or service solutions, and convert leads into opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.

  • Conduct professional and courteous phone and email correspondence.

  • Deliver a consultative experience by understanding customer needs and recommending tailored solutions.

  • Ensure timely follow-up with all active accounts and open opportunities.

  • Accurately track deal stages, potential revenue, and estimated close dates.

  • Plan and execute next steps for each opportunity and document all relevant sales notes.

  • Collaborate with external sales representatives to pass off qualified leads when appropriate.

  • Confirm all customer order details including product specs, shipping preferences, and billing information.

  • Ensure orders meet accuracy and compliance standards, including tax and logistics considerations.

  • Submit necessary documentation (e.g., quotes, case records, service requests) with precision and clarity.

  • Achieve daily and weekly sales call targets (e.g., 35+ outbound calls).

  • Meet or exceed defined metrics such as response time, quote turnaround, and margin goals.

  • Regularly review sales opportunities and plan tasks to maintain an organized and effective workflow.

  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and communicate planned absences in advance.

  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and uphold professional behavior in all interactions.

  • Manage daily responsibilities efficiently while staying aligned with broader sales team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or a similar role preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and office software (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
