About the role:

As a Physician Liaison, you will build Forta's referral engine from the ground up. You will be responsible for developing trusted relationships with physicians, clinics, and healthcare systems, while also creating new referral channels and overcoming barriers to growth.

This is a chance to establish the foundation of Forta's physician referral program and directly contribute to the company's mission and growth.


Key Responsibilities

Referral Growth:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of physician referral sources (pediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, developmental clinics)
  • Increase referral volume by educating providers and their staff on Forta's services and referral process
  • Track referral activity, conversion, and account health in CRM systems
  • Partner with intake and clinical operations to ensure smooth handoffs from referral to care initiation

Relationship Building:

  • Build and sustain long-term, trusted partnerships with physician practices and healthcare systems
  • Customize outreach strategies to fit regional needs and practice workflows
  • Represent Forta at pediatric, hospital, and behavioral health industry events to expand visibility and referrals


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare sales, physician liaison, referral development, or account management
  • Strong understanding of physician referral patterns, pediatric and behavioral health networks, and care coordination
  • Proven track record of driving measurable referral growth
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage multiple territories/accounts
  • Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to use applicable CRM tools to organize, monitor, and track accounts
  • Willing to travel 20–30% to meet physicians, attend conferences, and support regional growth
  • Mission-driven, with a deep commitment to improving access to autism care

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proximity to key target markets is necessary to support in-territory relationship building and growth
  • Must be based in the Greenville metro areas (within a 30-mile radius)
  • Prior experience engaging pediatricians, developmental pediatricians, and PsyD/behavioral health providers
  • Prior experience calling on pediatricians, developmental pediatricians, and PsyD/behavioral health providers
  • Existing, active book of business with referral sources in relevant specialties is highly desirable


  • Compensation and benefits:
  • Base compensation: $60,000

*Employees who generate 35+ Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) within their first 90 days will be eligible for a one-time $5,000 performance bonus. This structure is designed to incentivize strong early pipeline development and accelerate territory activation.
