What You Will Do:
We are looking for an experienced for a highly organized Document Controller with expertise in control system domain. The role involves managing engineering and project documentation related to DCS, PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation systems, with strong hands-on exposure to PLM platforms. The candidate will ensure document accuracy, version control, and compliance with project, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage document workflows, approvals, and revisions within the PLM system.
- Control and maintain engineering documents, document registers, transmittals, and revision histories for projects.
- Coordinate with control system engineers, project teams, vendors, and quality teams for timely document submissions and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to power plants.
- Track and document: Maintain and track a "baseline" of all configuration items, including hardware, software, and documentation, and maintain accurate records in a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Ensure secure storage, controlled access, and archiving of technical documents.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Min. 25 years of experience as a Document Controller, preferably in power plant, utilities, or control systems projects.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to export-controlled nature of work.
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with power plant control system documentation, including Control philosophies, Functional design specifications, Logic diagrams, I/O lists, Instrument datasheets.
- Comprehensive knowledge of products & services, processes, tools, and organizational structure, with a working knowledge of controls.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (e.g., ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders/customers, both written & oral.)
- Understanding the process of Manufacturing from concept to finished product.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DCS/PLC vendors, hydraulic systems in industries such as oil and gas, power generation, or heavy manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ERP/DMS tools integrated with PLM.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet.
- Knowledge of CAD software would be added advantage.
