A company is looking for a Staff Counsel to provide legal support and representation for public employees.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in administrative and federal court litigation, mediation, and settlementRespond to employee requests for assistance and determine appropriate legal servicesDevelop and implement legal strategies, conduct research, and monitor relevant policy issuesQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the District of Columbia Bar or another state barThree or more years of civil or administrative litigation experienceExperience with investigations by federal agencies or the Merit Systems Protection BoardFamiliarity with federal regulatory processes and environmental, public lands, or public health issuesAbility to develop and maintain relationships with clients and partner organizations
