This is a mission critical opening directly issued from high up, there will be no exceptions to this***** There are 2 different types of Avionic Technician openings. Both require 6+ years of recent aircraft experience. 4+ years of experience is accepted, if your experience is on fighters. 1) FACO Production Avionics, F-16 Technician- Final Assembly and Checkout Team This team is responsible for Final Assembly and Checkout functions to include installs of electrical harnesses/wires, continuity testing, System testing, and soldering/termination operations. You will be responsible for Testing/installing electrical harnesses/components, routing various wire/cables, Terminating cables/wires, and performing operational checks. You may also be required to troubleshoot and repairing electrical and avionics systems based on area assigned. Will sometimes perform other duties such as general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections. Avionics/Harness Mod Experience is required
4+ years of recent soldering experience is required (Must be able to pass soldering test/training)
Fighter experience preferred 2) Production Flightline Avionics, F-16 Technician- Production Flightline & Delivery Team This team is responsible for Flightline Operations to include installs of electrical harnesses/wires, continuity testing, System testing, and soldering/termination operations, Launch and Recovery. Working Engineering changes(redlines), MOD experience or Wire Repair is a key skilled needed to ensure success on this assignment. You will be responsible for Flight Operations, testing/installing electrical harnesses/components, routing various wire/cables, Terminating cables/wires, and performing operational checks to ensure flight readiness. You may also be required to troubleshoot and repairing electrical and avionics systems based on area team. You will sometimes perform other duties such as general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections. Avionics/Electrical Experience required, flightline experience preferred
