Job Description

Manage full lifecycle of substation projects (planning, design, execution, and closeout). Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure successful project delivery. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and client stakeholders. Lead project meetings, provide status updates, and maintain strong client relationships. Develop project schedules, forecasts, and resource plans. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Manage contract administration, change orders, and project documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Monitor project performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

Technical Scope:

  • Experience supporting substations ranging from 12kV distribution through 500kV transmission systems
  • Familiarity with AIS and GIS substations, relay protection schemes, and SCADA integration

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Substation should have:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in substation, T&D, or utility projects
  • Strong understanding of substation design, construction, and project execution
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams
  • Experience working directly with utility clients or EPC firms
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
