Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support a behavioral health facility within a psychiatric hospital setting. This role supports daily pharmacy operations while playing a major part in updating and improving a pharmacy computer system. The ideal candidate is comfortable spendinga significant portion of their time on system work, process improvement, and technology updates in addition to traditional pharmacy technician responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
- Support pharmacy operations within a psychiatric hospital, assisting pharmacists and clinical staff with psychotropic medication workflows.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (JCAHO, DEA) through accurate documentation, inventory control, and medication safety practices.
- Assist with dispensing support, medication preparation, and coordination with nursing and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Perform a large amount of systemrelated work, including helping update, modernize, and transition an outdated pharmacy computer system.
- Support data cleanup, workflow optimization, system testing, and daytoday troubleshooting during system updates.
- Help improve pharmacy processes by identifying inefficiencies and supporting technologydriven solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification
- Experience in a hospital, inpatient, or behavioral health pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong comfort level working with computer systems and learning new technology.
- Ability to spend a significant portion of time on system updates rather than only handson pharmacy work.
