Shift Details:
1st shift: Monday - Thursday (7:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
2nd shift: Monday - Thursday (5:30 PM - 3:30 AM)
Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) - Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours (shift incentive).

Job Description:
This is a non-exempt position responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. The Liberty Capacitor Site manufactures capacitors used in implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs).
Manufacturing Departments Overview:

  • Etch: Initiates and opens tunnels in raw aluminum foil using an acid etching and widening process.
  • Formation: Forms an oxide layer on the foil surface in electrically charged and heated tanks.
  • Assembly: Assembles paper, cathode, and anodes, stacks them, and seals them into a metal can through welding.
  • Final Test: Adds liquid electrolyte and performs electrical testing on the final capacitor product.
Once manufactured, capacitors are paired and welded together to form a capacitor pair, which is then shipped to device sites for ICD assembly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical devices including pacemakers and ICDs under close supervision.
  • Follow standardized procedures and complete routine assignments with high attention to detail.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure product traceability and compliance with quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding issues, ideas, and solutions.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Utilize electronic data collection systems and relevant computer software.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively based on production needs.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to handle small components with precision.
  • Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills with minimal supervision.
