This position is open due to project growth.
This will be a 12 month contract working for the client on design and development of a CUI VDI environment, Windows systems and images, technical and engineer support, and one-on-one training to identified System Administrators.
Candidate must be able to meet all CUI Requirements. Mid-Senior level Citrix VDI Architect will be responsible for providing level-2 and level-3 technical support for Citrix/XenApps server environment. This position will analyze and evaluate major system project requirements of considerable complexity requiring a thorough understanding of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the system. Review user requirements and provide direction in the identification of problem and potential resolution. Provide analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of complex, multiple inter-linked systems. Define system objectives and prepare system design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems. Job duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Advanced system testing tool knowledge & experience
Strong technical experience with the following technologies:
Citrix Administrator certification
5+ years of experience with Citrix XenApp
5+ years of experience with XenServer Administration
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Servers
5+ years of experience with Citrix App Layering
An Associate degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
I understand that only the workspaces designated for this project and that are specified in the approved Technology Control Plan (TCP) or granted by the Office of Export Control and Research Security (ECRS), may be used to access, process, store, or transmit regulated research data.
I understand that I must use the Granite Secure VDI to view, store, process, or transmit regulated research data (CUI, Export Control, etc.) from onsite University work locations and/or my approved remote work site as defined in my approved remote work agreement. (CMMC v2: PE.L2-3.10.6)
The computer screen should not be facing windows, and open doors where it can be viewed by people who have not been CUI approved and that they should lock their computer when not being near it.
Experience troubleshooting systems, identifying root cause, and creating action plans to resolve issues
Experience working within complex VDI environment.
Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with large or small groups of people through written or spoken communication
Must be a self-starter demonstrating the willingness to address / resolve ambiguity and conflict
