Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to support the design and development of customized power modules, IT modules, and data center solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong structural engineering expertise, experience with industrial or data center environments, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design of modular data centers and power systems from concept through construction.
  • Develop structural drawings, design narratives, and engineering documentation for SD/DD/CD phases.
  • Perform static and dynamic structural calculations, including seismic and blast load analyses.
  • Design mechanical and structural components such as lifting points, anchoring systems, flashings, and gutters.
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable federal, state, and local building codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, thermal, and civil engineering teams.
  • Review and approve structural submittals, material specifications, and vendor documentation.
  • Support foundation design requirements and site-specific structural evaluations.
  • Define welding procedures, inspection guidelines, and NDE requirements.
  • Develop structural load test procedures, dimensional checks, and quality control documentation.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
  • Conduct site/fabrication visits for design validation, quality audits, and engineering evaluations.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to provide innovative, cost-effective design solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of structural or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
  • Strong understanding of building codes and structural design standards.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
  • PE License is a plus.
