Position Overview
PAI Pharma is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Quality / 5S Laboratory Improvement Intern to support organization and efficiency initiatives within the Quality Control laboratory.
This internship focuses on applying 5S and continuous improvement principles to enhance lab organization, streamline workflows, and improve overall safety and compliance. The selected candidate will play a key role in transforming the lab into a more efficient, standardized, and visually organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
• Organize chemicals, glassware, instruments, and consumables to improve workflow efficiency
• Label storage cabinets, reagent bottles, shelves, and sample containers according to established standards
• Assist with development and implementation of standardized storage and labeling systems
• Identify and remove unnecessary or obsolete materials to reduce clutter and waste
• Support improvements in lab layout and workflow efficiency
• Promote and maintain cleanliness and safety standards
• Assist in documenting processes and maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory expectations
Key Projects
• Lead or support a 5S transformation initiative within the QC laboratory
• Standardize labeling and storage practices across the lab
• Improve workflow efficiency and organization of lab materials
• Support initiatives to:
o Reduce material waste
o Improve safety and cleanliness
o Establish sustainable organizational systems
• Assist with ongoing 5S compliance monitoring and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Biology, Industrial Engineering, Quality Systems, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational mindset
• Interest in process improvement, quality systems, or lab operations
• Ability to follow standards and implement structured systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with 5S, Lean, or continuous improvement concepts
• Prior lab or manufacturing experience
