Title: Battery System Design Engineer

Location: Greenville, SC

JD:

Qualification : BS/MS Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Automobile/Aeronautical

Exp in Years : Experience in Battery design about 4 to 6 years of experience into automotive.

Skill requirements :

• Understanding battery system design requirements for quality design
• Work closely with Vendor onsite engineer or customer for inputs, status, queries and issue resolutions.
• Support design feasibility and packaging checks for battery system products in scope
• Develop 3D Models for all components and structures using CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Perform design studies as needed & create study presentations / service drawings
• Create drawings for Prototype / Production / Certification releases
• Support global change management process (continuous engineering / warranty)
• Ensure quality and schedule of the deliverables
• All communications to onsite liaison engineer and customer engineering teams about progress through reports / data / trackers
• Tolerance Stack-up and GD&T Analysis : Design Quality Assurance (DQA) to verify right clearances & identify undesirable interferences using custom in-house automation tools
• 3D Variation Simulation Analysis (VSA) to identify tolerancing issues & recommend right design changes, averting field failures and high costs
• Creepage and Clearance Analysis (CCA) for electrical components to avoid hazardous electrical failures
