Job Title: LMS Content Support Specialist
Location-Type: 100% remote
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: (contract, perm, etc): 3-6 month contract - (20-30 Hrs a week)
Compensation Range: $28-35 an hour on W2 ONLY!
Benefits- The position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Description:

Day to Day:

  • Handling requests for course content - professors will reach out re: things they want to use for their courses: books, business cases, articles, book chapters, web articles, etc.
  • Professor gives a list and some publishing info & this team goes to obtain the content; place it on a third party platform, run copyright clearances & ensure that Wharton has necessary clearances to use the content
  • Connect the Canvas course site to the content site Studynet
  • Liaise with the library content site and work with the library to find content they might have
Must Haves:
  • In layman's terms, what does this person need to be doing in their job every day? What's the problem they are solving?
    • Ensure that all copyrighted content is going through the right channels & ensure professors are not posting it directly
    • Will receive a reading list & need to liaise with the library to make sure library knows what the library is doing & what this team is doing
    • Posting the content to Canvas for use in the courses
  • Top 3 Must Haves (What would this person need that if they did not have this experience, they absolutely would not be considered):
    • Someone who asks a lot of questions - a curious thinker
    • Organization and attention to detail is VERY important
    • Familiarity with microsoft office (Outlook, teams, zoom)
    • Ticketing system experience - how to respond and how to escalate and how to archive a ticket; ZenDesk preferred
    • Strong professional written communications
    • Higher education experience
    • Canvas LMS experience
